This oil gives your skin one of the purest oils that have been used for decades, if not centuries, by the ancients. It really feels like putting silk onto your skin! Even if this is an oil, it does not give an oily feeling when applied to the skin as it is absorbed into your skin. It gives a smooth touch to the skin and is used for increased elasticity and moisturizing of the skin. Customers also use the oil for scars and skin irritations. We recommend to use this oil after cleansing the face at night, since retinoids can make the skin more sun sensitive. As always, wear sunscreen during daylight to protect your skin from UV-light.
The Cacay tree and the cold-pressed cacay nuuts
The Cacay tree grows to great heights in the Colombian jungle and its fruits, whuch are nuts, are loaded with protective amino acids and the highest natural concentration of retinol (Vitamin A) compared to any other plant-based oils. The nuts are cold-pressed to carefulle extract and preserve the nutrients. Retinol is a well know treatment for mild to moderate photoaging. By photoaging we mean skin damage caused by years of sun exposure such pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. It is not possible to completely reverse photo aging, but there are several treatments to improve the quality and the appearance of sun damaged skin. Retinoids are one of them. Skin improvement with the use of retinoids is a long term process, since retinoids work at a cellular level by increasing cell turnover. We have this specific product becase it is a great solution for any skin type and and skin conditions. Retinols are also used to treat acne and problem skin in teenagers, for scars and skin irritations.
